From our deep history with lighting retrofits and HVAC equipment & control to engineering services, we also understand the energy systems in commercial buildings inside and out.  We’re using this expertise to help customers improve building performance, reduce environmental impact, and enhance occupant satisfaction.  

Increasingly, we work with partners—engineering service and energy consultants, for example—to help building owners and operators achieve improved performance through iRCx and MESA.  Our partners have the same commitment to delivering sustained customer value by combining their expertise and experience with tools from the SCIenergy cloud.

ENERGY STAR^® Score

ENERGY STAR for buildings incorporates a rating system to help you achieve your energy and environmental goals. SCIenergy can advise you through an individual phase or we can manage the entire process. We are experts in properly rating buildings through ENERGY STAR—that’s why we’ve been selected six times for a Sustained Excellence Award, including 2012!

Energy Audits

Of the many services provided by SCIenergy’s team of engineers, the energy audit serves as an ideal starting point for optimizing building performance and increasing energy efficiency. Energy audits provide building owners with an updated roadmap of their asset infrastructure, energy usage and costs. Audits let you know where you are today, and what you can do to realize a better tomorrow. We’ve incorporated our approach for energy audits into our premier offering, Intelligent Retro-commissioning™ (iRCx™).  For buildings in your portfolio that require a more in-depth look to formulate a custom plan, an energy audit is a logical first step, and registered professional engineers can help.

Retro-Commissioning (RCx)

Retro-commissioning is a well understood, and often utility-rebated, approach to optimize building performance and enhance occupant satisfaction. It involves a thorough evaluation of the buildings energy and systems performance, as well as identification of energy saving measures that offer a quick financial return through energy cost savings. SCIenergy has evolved RCx into Intelligent Retro-commissioning™ (iRCx™) for accelerated and sustained energy savings. But, we’re actively engaged in several utility RCx programs, and we will extend that to your buildings whenever possible.
